Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What if my employer is willing to pay for me for professional development? How can the payment be made?

The first thing you can do is check with your Employee Benefits personnel to see what the company’s procedures are for handling payment of employee’s professional development. If there is someone in the office who makes the payments on behalf of the employees, just be sure to inform them that they should use your email address so that you can receive the proper communications to set up your account and receive free email support.

However, it is typical that the employee makes the payment with his or her personal card, and then submits the payment receipt to the accounting office at their company. I suggest finding out who to send the receipt to and if they request any further information.

Why should I pay for a course when I can learn Excel for free on YouTube?

This is a very understandable question and a frequent concern that some people have. To be frank: YouTube typically doesn't offer courses with a full curriculum. They do not usually offer the support where you are guaranteed a response within 24 hours (especially if the videos you are watching are older - the uploader typically stops receiving notifications on older videos). And, you will NOT receive a Certificate of Completion which you can put on your official resume to show that you took initiative to further your professional development. So, you will certainly have the knowledge, but you will not receive additional benefits. Your employer will more likely appreciate knowing that you learned from an official course with a full curriculum.

How much time will the course(s) take?

Courses are pre-recorded so you can watch and learn at your own pace, whenever you have time. Additionally, each course is made up of a collective of short video demonstrations with step-by-step instruction, so whenever you do decide to watch, each recording is less than 20 minutes long, typically. Some are even under 5 minutes!

When does my access expire?

Once you pay for the course, you have unlimited access. There is no expiration date.

How complicated are the courses?

Although complicated is relative, the ease is that (1) there is a beginners’ course that starts with the very basics and works up from there, and (2) every single video is a “show and tell” step-by-step instruction that tells you exactly what to do and how, and explains what’s happening throughout the video.

And just an FYI, there’s no coding or lots of content that looks scientific or difficult to read or understand.

I understand how the courses can help someone save time and money, but what about the business templates?

The business templates help you to save time because you don’t have to build them front scratch - they are “ready to use”. (Even if you decide to edit and customize, you still aren't building the entire template or database from scratch). The business templates also help you to save money because you aren’t paying for a template or software on a monthly or yearly basis. You only pay a one-time purchase price, and you have access forever!

What if I need extra help?

If you have any questions relevant to the demonstrations in the courses, feel free to send an email to contact.eteachuex@gmail.com and help will be provided to you.

Can I get a certificate upon completion?

Absolutely. Once you complete an entire course, send an email to contact.eteachuex@gmail.com from the email address that you signed up with, and your certificate will be emailed directly to you. (It is important that you use the email that you signed up with as a second measure to verifying that you are the student in question and your purchase can be verified).

What software do I need?

Courses are taught in Microsoft Excel (not Google Sheets) (for Microsoft 365), Windows 10 on a PC. However, instruction is applicable to some older versions of Microsoft Office. Windows 7 and 8 are particularly compatible.

Here are some resources to check your programs’ compatibility with Windows 10 and to check which version you are using:
